Pre-Fitted Pergola's & Pavilions

With the Lathe, it's simple and accurate to fit a round peg in a round hole, which is why we employ this method for our mortise and tenon joints throughout the structure of our custom timber structures, including penta-beam pavilions and pre-fitted pergolas.

With our large hole saws, we can make precise saddle cuts to incorporate round beams into our custom timber structures. The round wall beams are pinned in place by the post dowels, and the rafters also have saddle notches cut in accordingly, ensuring a perfect fit for our penta-beam pavilions and pre-fitted pergolas.

Faceted timbers are a specialty of ours, which is why we incorporate a pentagon ridge beam in our custom timber structures, particularly in our penta-beam pavilions. The 72-degree angle provides a 4-12 slope for the roof, and the rafters along with the king post are neatly dowelled into it, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship that complements our pre-fitted pergolas.

The Pavilion assembles smoothly like Lego, making it an ideal choice for custom timber structures. Start by standing the posts, then set the bottom chords on the dowels. Next, place the round wall beams in the saddles and install the braces. After that, install the king posts before placing the ridge beam on the king posts. Finally, complete the assembly by installing the rafters, creating a sturdy framework similar to penta-beam pavilions or pre-fitted pergolas.

We are just starting the production of our Penta-beam Pavilion, which will serve as a model for our custom timber structures. We are creating a green cut model using milled timbers, with a production size of a 10' by 10' post-to-post square footprint, complemented by a 14' by 14' peaked roof. This design is ideal for pre-fitted pergolas, offering both style and functionality.

We are open and available to produce custom sizes for various custom timber structures. With 24' of lathe, we offer numerous options for custom orders, including various wood species, planed or rough sawn finishes. Our posts can be square, round, or faceted, and we can also turn decorative shapes into posts, including tapers and radii—internal or external—along with unique designs like balls and whiskey bottles. Additionally, we can create stunning penta-beam pavilions and pre-fitted pergolas tailored to your specifications.
