Our solid aluminum solar water buggies are made from durable 3/16 aluminum. The trough measures 10’ long, 3’ wide, and 16” deep, which provides a reservoir of approximately 280 gallons. This lightweight aluminum design not only resists corrosion but is also part of our range of flatline mechanical products that offer effective solar water solutions for watering livestock.
The 440-watt solar panels are mounted on hard brackets on 2-1/2” schedule 80 pipe, featuring a slotted arc adjuster with a 1/2” bolt for user-friendly angle adjustments. This robust system from Flatline Mechanical Products secures the panels more effectively than traditional u-bolt mounting methods. It includes two 12-volt deep cycle batteries, a 60 amp charge controller, a float switch relay, a 12 or 24 volt float-mounted marine bilge pump, 50’ of 1-1/2” clear PVC hose, and buss bars that provide cleaner and more convenient power distribution alongside future accessory options. The solid aluminum solar water buggies are equipped with aluminum battery boxes that have internally mounted float switches for easier level adjustments and protection from livestock. Additionally, pin drop-down legs stabilize the trough, while stow points for the hitch and tongue jack are conveniently located on the A-frame. An aluminum covering protects the wiring inside the support legs, and D-rings on the rear of the buggy allow for easy attachment of fence panels to safeguard the water line, ensuring efficient solar water solutions.
We also offer larger solar systems with 2 panels as part of our solar water solutions, alongside high lift well pumps and flatline mechanical products, including solid aluminum solar water buggies.
